and I am going into my fourth year teaching while working on my Masters in Education and Neuroscience. I have moved from grade 2 to grade 3 and am starting this year with the chaos of teaching online.  Teaching is my passion and my heart, with the dream starting when I was 3 years old. I have had a few struggles along the way (endometriosis and pcos, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, celiac disease), but accomplishing my dreams has been absolutely magical. My philosophy really comes from my own struggles in the current education system. I generally have a flexible seating classroom and a student-based, choice-based pedagogy. In my classroom I work to encourage innate motivation and cultivate a love of learning. I am working at expanding my student library to represent all students in the literature available, and am forever hoping to grow my understanding of white privilege in our world and create an anti-bias classroom.
